Stage 5 tear jerker Arnold Classic edition!!!
You guys might remember the story we did on Collin Clarke back in November, he's the young man with Down syndrome that competed in the lightweight bodybuilding division at NPC Kentucky Muscle Show. Well we set him up with some VIP treatment here in Columbus for the Arnold Classic this weekend. Meet and greet tickets, expo tickets, sweet seats at the show, and today I had the pleasure of introducing Collin to some of the superstars of the IFBB earlier this morning at the expo including Big Ramy. So of course, like the gentleman he is, Ramy autographs a picture for Collin!
Well Collin had his OWN pics, you can see it on the front of the table here in the pic.... So after signing his autograph for Collin...Ramy then picks up one of Collin's photos, grabs a marker, hands it to Collin and says in his somewhat broken English and his teddy bear voice "now you sign for me" ...and Collin proceeded to sign one of his cards for Ramy.
I've been around this industry for s few years now and this was easily one of the coolest and most heartwarming things I have seen not only in bodybuilding but anywhere at all period. It was just one of those moments where you see just how moving such a small gesture can be...I dunno, maybe you had to be there, but I'm sure glad I was.
Ramy has a fan in me for life.
