[Beginner Question] Squat already bottlenecked but Deadlift keep improving

Woah yeah it's important to stand on a solid surface for stability. Do you have suitable shoes as well? (or lift barefoot) Thick soft soles on running shoes can give similar issues when they compress and shift under the weight.

Bare foot, I'm going to switch to hard surface for deadlift tomorrow as well!
