Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an invite?
Fitocracy is currently in limited private release. Due to unexpected demand, we haven't been able to send out as many invites as we'd like since we're trying to make sure the system is stable to handle everyone who wants in. Currently, the best way to get an invite is to either email us directly at
info@fitocracy.com or to search on Google for a Fitocracy invite.
What do the points mean?
You earn points for every action you log in Fitocracy. Some actions are worth more than others depending on how difficult they are. As you earn points, you’ll see your progress bar fill up. Points are a way of keeping score of how much weight you’re putting into your fitness!
What are levels?
Levels are a way to see how far along you are in your personal fitness. Getting to the next level means that you’ve made progress.
How do I level up?
You level up once you’ve earned a certain number of points. As you progress, the number of points you need for higher levels increases. Sometimes there will even be a challenge for you to complete once you’ve earned all your points before you can move on to the next level.
What are achievements?
Achievements are recognitions for when you do something extra special. They’re designed to be showed off so when you get one, display it loud and proud
What are quests?
Quests are optional goals you can try to beat in order to win huge bonus points. You don’t have to attempt them to progress in Fitocracy but doing so is a great way to push yourself further.
How come every time I hit the "Log Activities" button, it looks like I'm getting points?
Whenever you click the "Log Activities" button, you're basically writing over what you did for the day you have selected. So if you add a bunch of new activities to a day, it's as if you logged a whole new day's worth of activities. However, that doesn't mean you're getting repeat points for things you already logged.
How come one of my quests isn't considered complete even though I've hit all the requirements in previous workouts?
We don't check your workouts for quest requirements until you become eligible for the quest. So if you discover a new quest, you'll have to hit those quest requirements in order to fulfill the quest.
What’s the leaderboard?
The leaderboard displays the top X number of players in a few different ways. You can view top achievers of all time, by month, or by week. It can also show you how you stack up against people in your area, people of your age/gender, etc.
It seems like my level and the quests are too easy for my actual fitness.
In order to keep the game balanced, everybody starts off at level 1. If the levels and quests are too easy for you at first, don’t worry. That just means you’ll level up fairly quickly in the beginning.
What is the Activity Stream?
The Activity Stream is where you can see what other Fitocracy users are up to. If you're not following anybody on Fitocracy, you'll get a view of everybody on the network. After you start following a few people, you'll just see those individuals' activity in your stream.
How much weight should I enter for my dumbbell/cable/kettlebell exercises? The combined weight or just the weight of one?
Just enter the weight of a single dumbbell/cable/kettlebell. Keeps it simple
How much weight should I enter for bodyweight exercises with added weight like dips, chins, crunches, etc?
Just add whatever additional weight you're using.
Hey, I don't see my favorite exercise here! Where is it?!
We’re working hard to add new types of exercise to Fitocracy every day. If you don't see something you'd like to track, let us know at
info@fitocracy.com

We will never change your profile information, we will never auto-post to your accounts, and we will never spam your friends.
