Hallo mensen,
"
We often get asked which bar is suitable for powerlifting, weightlifting, and functional training. We have now developed the StrengthShop Bastard Bar, a bar which combines many features from each type of bar and brings them into one.

Each sleeve in these bars consist of one needle bearing, two ball bearings, and one brass bushing.

Lightly grooved sleeves.

Black chrome plating.

Quite a 'flexy' shaft, sharp knurling, and great free spinning sleeves.

Weight: 20kg
Length: 2.2m
Shaft: Sprung Steel
Shaft Diameter: 28mm
Distance Between Rings: 810mm and 910mm
Centre Knurling? No
Knurling Type: Medium
Sleeve Type: Needle Bearings, Brass Bushings & Ball Bearings
Max Load/Rating: 1500lbs static rating, 205K PSI Tensile strength

Independent reviews of the bar;

"The bar is lovely, nice knurling, good flex and spin! In that price range I've used rogue bars and the again faster klokov bar, even used the Taishan bar, and this bar to me feels the most comfortable and is definitely the most versatile of the lot! Super pleased with it! Will definitely point people towards this bad when asked! It's one of the best if not the best bar for crossfit that I've used, and as great a quality that rogue bars are, I would definitely take the bastard bar over the Ohio or rogue bar!" - Jordan - July 2015 '

BAR WARRANTIES
With our bars, here are guidelines with regards to usage to reduce any likelihood of damage. Our philosophy and experience is that any bar, however cheap will last a lifetime if looked after and cared for properly. Similarly, any bar, however expensive/well made, will get damaged through incorrect or improper use.

Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, excessive dropping with iron plates, excessive dropping on concrete or similar surfaces, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Strength Shop product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

(d) When doing jerks/overhead work, always userubber coated bumper plates and only on a proper lifting platform, or rubber gym matting (at least 15 mm to 18 mm thick). Never use cast iron plates when doing overhead work. Dropping a bar from any height with cast iron plates on will almost always cause it to bend.

(e) Any bar used in a commercial environment is more susceptible to damage or deterioration purely because of the volume of use, and the potential for improper use. It is our belief that bars used in a commercial environment will have to be replaced on an ongoing basis, and it should not be expected that any bar will “last forever” in a setting like this.

(f) Our weightlifting barbells should always be used with full rubber bumper plates on rubber matting or platforms. They should not be used in situations where they can be dropped on pins/safeties, such as squatting in cages, or rack pulls. Bars should never be left loaded with plates, however light or small, for any length of time outside of use.

Lijkt me geen slechte opmerking. Bedankt.

Hello Strengthshop,

I have a small "issue".
On your internetsite strengthshop.de, you posted a review of the Basterd bar, made by Alex Dillon. He states that the bar comes with a lifetime warranty.
No where else in the texte on your site a duration of warranty is mentioned. There is a link below the texte and when you click on it you get a page where the conditons of the warranty are stated. But no duration. So, as a buyer, we are informed, though the review you posted on the page of the bar, that there is a lifetme warranty.

I bought the bar based on this video.... Can you confirm that there is in fact a lifetime warranty, as stated in the review you posted on your internetsite.

Thank you in advance.

En zo zullen ze elke klant die dit heeft opgemerkt het zwijgen opleggen want terugsturen is een hele bedoening;

ATX is daar heel duidelijk in..

You have mly eternal admiration :)

Zie hier het antwoord van Strength shop:
"
Hello Christian,

Yes, all of our powerbars have lifetime warranty, but, it depents on the correct usage.
Examples: No usage outside where it can get rust, no weightlifting lifts with the power bar, and proper usage for the 3 main lits. If you use it for the purpose it has, will have of course lifetime warranty.

Best regards, "

---------------------------------------

"all our power bars..."

"This bar comes with Strength Shop 3-Year performance warranty. "

"
Sorry to bother you guys again... but a last small question.
You answered: "all our powerbars have a lifetime warranty".............but... the "Bastard bar" (the one i bought), is that the Bastard Power bar? I did not know they were the same. So lifetime warrranty on the Bastard bar, when used correctly.

Have a great day and be safe.

Christian".

Ik heb een kort antwoord gekregen:

"Yes, that is correct. "

-----------------------------------------

Beetje vreemd toch allemaal.

SO guess what I did... ;)

"Hello Strengthshop UK

I have a question concerning the strengthshop Bastard bar No centre knurl.
I quote your site:"Warranty - 3 Year Performance Warranty"
So why do you put a video of Alex Dillon reviewing the bar on Youtube where he says:"it comes with a lifetime warranty"?

Thank you for clarifying this.

Yours sincerly,
Christian
