Toch zie je wel 3 types skeletstructuren die met ecto-, meso- en endomorf overeenkomen. Vooral tussen ecto (smalle schouders, lange ledematen) en meso/ecto lijkt zoveel verschil te zijn dat er geen sprake is van een continue overgang.
