With a lot key players out with injury Worlds Strongest Man 2016 is shaping up to be an interesting one. We recently got news of what the events for the finals are (Unofficial)
Circus Barbell

Seen in past years the Circus Barbell poises a unique challenge with how much the bar shakes which will favor strict/push pressers vs those that jerk. An efficient clean is a must as well, Hall, Shaw, Bjornsson and more depending on who makes the final can do well here.
Deadlift For Max Weight

The recent World Deadlift Championships give us a lot of insight into how points will go in this event. Hall has to be the favorite along with the likes of Shaw, Bjornsson, Pritchett, etc to be right up there. I wouldn’t expect deadlifts to be as heavy as they were at the Deadlift Championships as people will need to do the next three events as well.
Kettlebell throw
Seen in the qualifiers last year Shaw had the best time throughout any group but Bjornsson is looking mighty strong for this event!
Plane Pull

A World’s Strongest Man staple and one that can have a huge points swing, this will be a pivotal event while favoring the bigger competitors such as Hollands, Bjornsson, Shaw if Martins Licis makes the finals he could really shock some people with his skills.
Frame Carry
Shahlaeli is a favorite here along with Arsjo, Pritchett, etc it will be interesting to see if straps are allowed or not.
Atlas Stones

The iconic strongman event. Bjornsson is known as the “king of stones” yet Hall beat him in the event in the finals last yearr so it will be interesting how this goes!
