Babylon 5

Aangezien ik sinds zaterdag eindelijk m'n seizoen 5 DVD set binnen heb vroeg ik me af of hier nog meer B5 fans zitten?

Persoonlijk vind ik dit de allerbeste SF serie ooit. Dit mede doordat er een verhaallijn was was 5 seizoenen zou bevatten, en daarna was het afgelopen. Dus niet nog jarenlang een oude formule meeslepen naar nieuw te verzinnen avontuurtjes, maar gewoon een script voor 5 jaar.

Vooral de "Shadow war" is zeer mooi uitgewerkt beginnend bij een glimp van ze in S1 tot aan de gigantische battle tussen de Shadows, Vorlons en Federation in S4.

Buiten dit waren de CGI erg goed voor die tijd (eind 90'er jaren) en waren de rassen en personages zeer goed en diep uitgewerkt.

Het wachten is nu nog voor mij op de filmbox (de laatste 3 films) om de hele serie op DVD te hebben (5 seizoenen en 5 tussenfilms).

B5 heerst. En idd: de beste serie aller tijden. Niet zo'n 13-in-een-dozijn serie waar je makkelijk een paar afleveringen kan missen. (ik zeg: Star Trek en aanverwante incestueuze kinderen ).

Waar heb je de DVDs gekocht?

bij SciFi is Stargate SG-1 men favoriet..
Star Trek Enterprise vind ik ook niet slecht, Babylon 5 al van ghoord
maar hebben ze nog nooit in belgië uitgezonden bij mijn weten, dus heb ik het ook nog niet gezien

B5 rules !

Heb nog wel mail gehad van de maker. Hij zat ook altijd op forums om te discussieren over de gemaakte afleveringen, erg gaaf. Jammer dat zijn vervolgproject (legend of the rangers meen ik) stop is gezet, de man kon mooie series maken.

ik keek B5 ook altijd vroeger, maar was te jong om het echt goed te volgen, denk dat ik het nu meer zou kunnen waarderen, hetzelfde als met star trek.

Zijn dat tekenfilms of animatie`s ofzo? t ziet er wel leuk uit

Is CGI (computergraphics dus). En voor die tijd dus echt zeer goede.

De rest is gewoon acteerwerk in groot opgezette omgevingen.

heb de eerste 2 seizoenen met veel plezier bekeken, maar toen ben ik de draad een keer kwijtgeraakt en nooit meer opgepakt.
