Vikter Duplaix (producer of Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and
D'Angelo, among others) has been a firm fixture of the
international soul scene for quite some time - and we are
pleased to announce that this exceptional talent opens our
current Mixed Tape with his upbeat track ‘I See The Sun'.
Furthermore, we welcome back some familiar faces in new
surroundings: Jacob Vetter, singer of previous Mixed Tape
contributors Rotari Klub, returns with his solo project Jimek
while British duo D'Nell have teamed up with renown producers
Yam Who for an irresistible boogie soul remix of their debut
‘This Thing'. In addition, German singing sensation Ira -
frequently compared to the likes of Björk and Portishead and
regular collaborator of Mixed Tape fixture and The Tape/Jahcoozi
mastermind Robert Koch - joins an eclectic mix of new arrivals
ranging from Swiss/Spanish singer Guillermo Sohrya and popular
Brit pop combo A Beggar's Opera to La-Boum's stirring blend of
‘world pop'.
