Avast, gratis, gebruik hem al 2 jaar, geen enkel probleem mee, update zichzelf elke dag (soms 2 keer, heb je geen last van, plus je bent dagelijk up to date) en gebruikt weinig geheugen (itt bijv norton die ook nog eens een hoop rotzooi op je compu plaatst)
Hier een vergelijking [Link niet meer beschikbaar] waar avast net zo goed scoort (advanced) als mcafee, norman of norton.
Maar eigenlijk is het veel belangrijker dat je leert wat je wel en niet met internet moet doen, welke sites je wel en niet moet komen, welke dingen je wel niet moet downloaden en openen, net zoals je dat met je mailtjes door moet hebben, dat je herkend welke mail een bedreiging is. Als je dat een beetje door hebt heb je bijna nooit meer problemen met je pc.

Maar eigenlijk is het veel belangrijker dat je leert wat je wel en niet met internet moet doen, welke sites je wel en niet moet komen, welke dingen je wel niet moet downloaden en openen, net zoals je dat met je mailtjes door moet hebben, dat je herkend welke mail een bedreiging is. Als je dat een beetje door hebt heb je bijna nooit meer problemen met je pc.

Kan je die Avast ook handmatig je pc doen scannen (ja toch?)
Heb eens van iemand gehoord (had ook Avast) dat ie meteen na het booten begon te scannen waardoor pc traag werd opgestart.
Ja, je kan handmatig scannen, doe ik eigenlijk nooit. Ik heb hem zo ingesteld dat ie dat bij mij s nachts doet, 1x in de maand.
Dat meteen booten na het opstarten heeft ie bij mij nooit gedaan, ik denk dat die iemand zijn instellingen eens moet aanpassen.
Ik weet wel dat als je de eerste keer de scanner over je compu heen gooit dat ie dan wel ff bezig is, want dan scant ie elk bestandje op je pc, maar je kan ook kiezen voor quik scan, dan is ie sneller.

Hier zie ik wel dat Nod32 de beste is (die samen met een Kaspersky toch wel goede AV programma's mogen genoemd worden)

Ik gebruik het al jaren. Mijn ervaringen zijn zeer positief, hij verbruikt bijna geen geheugen, hij doet alles op de achtergrond en houdt toch wel alle virussen tegen. Ik heb nog nooit een virus op de pc gehad sinds ik met NOD32 werk. Hij update zeer geregeld, zo'n 15 keer per dag en met de juiste instellingen doet NOD32 alles automatisch, geen omkijken meer naar.
Ik gebruikte eerder meestal de grote namen als AV scanners. McAfee, Symantec (Norton). Ik vind dit vreseslijke programma's met al hun ingebouwde anti spyware, anti firewall, shieldprotection en weet ik veel wat nog meer. Je pc wordt er ook echt merkbaar trager van, vooral bij het laden van windows. En menig virusje komt er nog doorheen.
NOD32 is mijn favoriet, maar een programma als AVG en Norman zijn ook erg goed. Bitdefender heb ik ook een tijdje gebruikt, ook een goed programma maar zodra hij ging updaten schakelde hij zichzelf uit. Dat vond ik maar niks.
NOD32, Norman, AVG zijn de beste vind ik. Dit icm windows firewall werkt prima. Kaspersky heb ik overigens geen ervaring mee.

(PS: calcification, man toch wees toch niet zo bezorgd om je veiligheid van je computer en de traagheid
Beter voorkomen dan ... , inderdaad.
Ik besef maar al te goed dat je qua vuiligheid die je kan binnentrekken op een pc, zelf veel kan doen door op te letten waar je zoal op klikt en welke site's je bezoekt.
Maar na een HD crash en momenteel zonder AV scanner - anti spyware prog. te zitten, kijk ik graag uit naar een nieuwe vervanger om alles in goede banen te lijden.
