Nee absoluut niet, het blijft een achterlijk volk. Maar dat waren wij vroeger ook dus vind ik het een beetje hypocriet om hun dan gelijk te veroordelen voor iets wat we zelf in veel grotere maten ook gedaan hebben.
Ik heb wel het idee dat in de moslim landen die we een beetje met rust laten, steeds meer verstandige mensen zijn die hun mening durven te verkondigen. Het zal voorlopig zeker nog wel 100 jaar duren denk ik, voordat de moslim landen net zo ver zijn als wij nu zijn qua religie en democratie.

Hoezo hypocriet? Alle stammen/geloven waren vroeger barbaars. Indianen, noormannen, perzen..noem maar op. Maar iedereen is met zijn tijd meegegaan en hebben inmiddels wel door dat een dialoog beter is voor de bevolking. Alleen fanatieke (extremistische) moslims geloven nog in onthoofdingen, landbezetting, onderdrukking etc..
Dus nee, filmpje bovenstaand is nogal zielig gemaakt. Een paar passages uit de bijbel neerplempen, wat foto's van soldaten in Irak en dan moeten we overtuigd zijn. Wilders plempt gewoon neer wat de moslims zelf uitkramen en plakt filmpjes aan mekaar die ook door moslims zijn uitgebracht en te gruwelijk voor woorden zijn voor deze huidige wereld maatschappij.

Whoever isn't found listed in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. 20:15

Dat lijkt me niet echt het geval. Een paar miljoen heksen, kruistochten, en met de christelijke invloed op 'AIDS afrika' is het ook al belabberd gesteld. Verder gaat er vanuit de christelijke fundi's op bepaalde plekken een sterke anti-vaccinatie beweging uit en wordt global warming op grote schaal ontkend.
Westerlingen die moslims aanpakken? Lijkt me duidelijke dat je de bronfilm niet kent van die beelden: Jesuscamp. Een van de meest misselijkmakende docufilms die ik de afgelopen tijd heb gezien. De misselijkmakende indoctrinatie van kinderen is iets waar we ons erg ongerust over moeten maken. Kinderen die op zo'n jonge leeftijd volledig verpest worden zijn een gevaar voor een goed functionerende maatschappij. Dat dit als 'niet indrukwekkend' wordt afgedaan is belachelijk.

Het christendom is beschaafd. OMFG. Get real. Van 'het christendom' is sowieso al nauwelijks te spreken en als we dan alles op een hoop gooien is beschaving wel het laatste dat in me op komt...
Wie hoor je hier tegenwoordig over? De eenzijdigheid van je blikveld wordt wel duidelijk... En het christendom en de islam vergelijken is helemaal niet zo'n gek idee. Het is allemaal een bende plagiaat. Haal dus ff je kop uit het zand. kthnx.
Toch grappig dat een maatschappij die evolueert naar hetgeen wij als 'wenselijk' bestempelen steeds meer seculier van aard wordt. Religie remt ratio.
En hoe verklaar je dan dat bepaalde moslimlanden als eerste ter wereld kiesrecht voor vrouwen kende? (hetgeen later de deur weer uitging, wat dan weer wijst op de culturele invloed op religie en de wisselwerking ertussen)
Als het aan de kerk had gelegen was Nederland ook nog een achterlijk kot. Er is geen instelling ter wereld die zo gigantisch hard tegen vooruitgang heeft gestreden en dat nog doet.
Kijk naar de invloed van het christendom op 'sub-saharan Africa'.

hangt ervanaf over welke tijdspanne je het bekijkt, met de middeleeuwen erbij en de kruistochten erbij denk ik dat het christendom zeker wint, met de huidige tijd (oftewel de middeleeuwen voor het moslimgeloof) zitten de moslims denk ik hoger.
religie icm het creeeren van een gemeenschappelijke vijand wordt meestal gebruikt om de samenhang onder de bevolking te versterken (sociaal imperialisme), dus in die zin is religie ook meer een middel. dit zag je vooral in de middeleeuwen sterk terug.

Dat stemrecht voor vrouwen zou toch niet tot z'n recht zijn gekomen daar aangezien hassan fatima toch opdraagt waarop te stemmen. Meteen de reden waarom de pvda zo groot is geworden in NL.

Nou, dan zouden we iig weer redelijk gelijk staan he? In Nederland stemt naar mijn idee een enorm deel van de mensen zonder ook maar 1 partijpunt of programma te hebben gelezen; gewoon de meute volgen. De reden dat Pim Fortuyn en Wilders zo groot zijn geworden om het dan maar in dezelfde adem te charcheren. (heb je feiten om dit statement te onderbouwen: onderdrukking bij het uitbrengen van een stem, of is het 'een indruk' die je hebt?)
Daarbij: waar slaat je reactie op? Een stem wordt persoonlijk uitgebracht, niemand die controleert waar je op stemt, als het goed gaat. Er is niets gezegd over de wijze waarop gestemd wordt. Je bent gewoon zaken aan het invullen om je wereldvisie bijeen te houden.

Ik ben al druk aan het zoeken, ben dit eens tegengekomen in een interessant artikel op een blog. Hoop dat ik het terug kan vinden, indexeerde toen nog niet zoveel.
Om te beginnen is natuurlijk al wat te zeggen voor het feit dat Turkije eerder dan Belgie het stemrecht voor vrouwen kende.
(al waren ze toen al druk aan het seculeren)Hoofdzakelijk was het een opmerking om aan te tonen dat de invloed van religie op de samenleving en vice versa niet zomaar 'lineair' van aard is. Een samenleving waarin 99 procent van de mensen moslim is, kan blijkbaar prima meer verlichting in zich dragen (op bepaalde punten) dan de samenleving die wij zo graag ophemelen: onze eigen samenleving.
