Beetje vaag dat je als 'buitenlander' Gouverneur kan worden maar geen President, Arnold is ondertussen al 25+ jaar Amerikaans staatsburger en zou in principe President moeten kunnen worden. ()
Hoe oud is die wet?
Hier de uitleg:
"The terms of citizenship are interpreted very strictly. A President must be a natural born citizen, meaning that immigrants are not eligible to run for President, no matter how long they have lived in the United States. If a child of American citizens is born abroad, he or she is technically considered a natural born citizen, and can therefore hold Presidential office. In addition, a Presidential candidate must have actually lived in the United States for at least 14 years, presumably so that he or she is aware of general issues which impact the American populace."

The Constitution of the United States of America is the supreme law of the United States. Ben blij dat je dit ook inziet. Democratie is het meest bruikbare politieke systeem maar niet waterdicht en dus vatbaar voor misbruik of de gevolgen van onwetendheid.
Nu is vernietigen wel heel drastisch, maar er moet wel wat mee gebeuren.

Juist. Er moet imo gewoon een geschikte persoon opstaan die bepaalt wat er dan moet gebeuren.

Is de gemiddelde burger in een democratisch land niet ontwetend dan. Ik bedoel als de grootste gedeelte van de bevolking nog steeds gelooft dat de aarde in 7 dagen is geschapen ga je mij niet vertellen dat democratie werkt.

Geloof in het onbekende is niet echt vergelijkbaar met een regering evalueren. Mensen geloven vaak omdat ze zichzelf een doel willen geven in het leven... Dat wil daarom niet zeggen dat die mensen de politiek nooit behoorlijk zouden kunnen evalueren/sturen.
Buiten die gelovigen zijn er waarschijnlijk net zoveel onwetenden, maar ook zij hebben natuurlijk recht op een stem. Al was het maar om hun persoonlijk ongenoegen over iets te laten voelen.
