Jeffrey Epstein hanged himself with prison bedsheet

The convicted pedophile, who was 6 feet tall, apparently killed himself by kneeling toward the floor and strangling himself with the makeshift noose, law enforcement sources said Monday. He hadn’t been checked on for several hours, sources said.

De gevangenis is trouwens onderbemand. Ze hebben maar 70% van het personeel dat nodig is. Dat zou al kunnen verklaren waarom die checks niet zijn uitgevoerd.

Al maakt het mijns inziens niet zoveel uit. Als er telkens 30 minuten tussen zit dan kan iemand gemakkelijk zelfmoord plegen.

Eigenlijk is het best een beetje gênant allemaal. Er plegen wellicht dagelijks gevangenen zelfmoord in de VS. Alleen omdat het nu om een beroemdheid gaat kaarten ze wel de ongeregeldheden aan. Als Joe Schmoe zelfmoord pleegt dan hoor je niets over o.a. die checks.

It also sees Facebook become the fourth company to confirm that human contractors are listening to people’s private conversations. In July, it emerged that Apple contractors were listening to Siri conversations.

Earlier in July, it was revealed that Google was doing the same with its Home Assistant interactions. Back in April, it emerged that the Amazon assistant Alexa was recording sometimes private conversations.

This month, Vice’s Motherboard revealed that some Skype calls were also being listened to by Microsoft contractors.
