Sommige economen denken meer mensen = rijkere economie.Als economische leek vrees ik dat massa-immigratie het debat an sich al nutteloos maakt.

Na WWII werden, niet alle, maar veel landen zo etnisch homogeen gemaakt. Dit was om onder andere mogelijke toekomstige spanningen te vermijden, die er waren tijdens het interbellum, tussen de opeengehoopte etniciteiten. Deze deportaties waren, met name voor (etnische) Duitsers, met weinig uitzonderingen gruwelijk.

Natuurlijk zeggen sommigen dat het wegautomatiseren van mensen wel wel weer nieuwe kansen creëert. Maar ik denk dat zij dat in de komende gevallen onderschatten, zaken zoals wasmachines fornuizen stofzuigers hebben ons op zich vrijwel geen nieuwe kansen maar vooral veel vrije tijd gegeven. Ik denk dat er eerst steeds meer mensen simpelweg niet meer bij kunnen benen in een economie die steeds complexere zaken zal automatiseren. JP is nog een van de weinigen die ik heb gezien die -mede uit ervaring- aan deze biologische beperkingen van mensen durft te denken en zich over deze ontwikkeling bezorgt. Tucker Carlson over het probleem van de werkgelegenheid hieruit. De combinatie met laaggeschoolde migranten uit arme probleemlanden is des te meer zorgelijk te noemen.
Aan de andere kant lijken zij als oplossing of gewenste uitkomst te hebben dat al die mensen dan niks meer hoeven te bezitten en wel gelukkig zullen zijn in de utopie waar iedereen naar z'n wensen en kunnen creatief kan zijn. Geen idee hoe dat economisch zou moeten gaan functioneren, en hoe gezellig de tussenstappen/overgang/revolutie zullen zijn waarin steeds minder hyperproductieve mensen de rest onderhouden. Dusver heeft vrije marktkapitalisme de beste overgang in die richting verzorgt, waar de politieke plannen met de utopie voor ogen juist het tegenovergestelde voor elkaar kregen. Ik zie ook wel hoop in de technologische ontwikkelingen, zoals dat een ieder nu makkelijk creatieve werken en gesprekken kan produceren en aan de hele wereld kunnen delen. Politicie zijn echter vooral geen goede en zeker niet ethische economen gebleken.

Er is een lesbische actrice, Ruby Rose, die dacht dat ze transgender was. Uiteindelijk ging ze er niet mee door. Ik vind het jammer dat ze, voor zover ik weet, geen woord rept over deze kwestie. (of net genoeg)
Het zou zonder twijfel transities, waarvan men later spijt krijgt, kunnen vermijden.
Goede redenen, mag hopen dat ze dat ook als LGBTQ advocate aan hen als mogelijkheid voordraagt.

Precies waar ik ook aan dacht ja, that reminds me of this chapter in my new book ..., en soms worden ze wat voorspelbaar of vallen in herhaling. Dan is zoiets wel leuk. Wist ook niet dat hij met zo'n diepgang naar dat onderwerp had gekeken en er zo creatief over dacht.

Ik volg Peterson al jaren niet meer, maar het valt me op dat hij nogal vermagerd is. Eet hij alleen nog maar vlees?
Zijn dochter heeft een zeer zeldzame immuunziekte. Sommige gewrichten zijn op zeer jonge leeftijd vervangen. Uiteindelijk hielp alleen haar Carnivore Diet. Gaandeweg nam JP het dieet over of experimenteerde hij samen met haar. Zodat ze kon peilen welk effect het op hem had.

Dat van zijn dochter wist ik. Maar om dat dan over te gaan nemen als je verder gezond bent, vind ik een nogal radicale stap waarvan ik de reden niet begrijp. Volgens mij moet je dan ook flink wat supplementen nemen om tekorten in bepaalde vitamines etc te voorkomen.
