Een thaiboksmaat van me zit met een probleem omtrent z'n voeding en vroeg mij om hulp. Hieronder zijn quote van een martial arts board :

anyway
my question is:
how do i know how much i should eat
i know that calories are ultimately what it's all about
but many people who are well respected on the boards preach that not to count calories. so how do i know how much i should eat?
and when i did eat with calorie counting i was always told im not eating enough?
i used to get about 2200 calories when i used to ocunt calories... im 173cm and 62 kg and train pretty hard
my weight stays stable at that weight but i'd like more muscle tone, especially around the abs.
the last few months i've been eating shit, not counting calories... probably eating 1000 calories more on some days than normal but i still fluctuate between 62-64kg but still look shit for a muay thai fighter
anyway anyone able to offer me advice? i used to think nutrition was not that bad but obviously it's more complicated than the years of reading i did made me feel it was... what a waste "
M.a.w. hij wil er wat gespierder uitzien en heeft de laatste maanden z'n cals met zo'n 1000 verhoogd zonder enig noemenswaardig resultaat. Hij traint muay thai fulltime waar uiteraard ook wat gewichttraining bij inbegrepen zit.
Wat moet hij doen om er beter uit te zien ?
