Chemische castratie, nog altijd de beste oplossing. Als je die test levels maar laag genoeg krijgt zullen ze in niet veel meer zin hebben. Dan kan dit gecombineerd worden met sterke gedragtherapie en indien nodig verdere aanpassingen in de hersenen.
Onder scanner leggen, zien welke delen van de hersenen geactiveerd worden als ze opgewonden geraken van een kind. Dit vergelijken met een normale man die opgewonden geraakt van volwassen vrouw. Nadien die test levels omlaag doen en weer opnieuw testen om verschillen te vergelijken. Bij beiden weer (wel ff klote voor de normale man). Nadien kunnen er nog aanpassingen gebeuren indien nodig tot er geen activatie meer is van de gelijkende of verschillende delen van de hersenen bij opwinding van het zien van een kind.
Maar er is zo te zien meer aan de hand.

We found that the pedophilic men had significantly less tissue in two wide-spread regions of the brain. These two regions (called the superior fronto-occipital fasciculus and the right arcuate fasciculus) are not at all what previous researchers had expected to find (including us). Instead of being in charge of any specific function of the brain (such as self-control or coïtusual response), these particular brain structures are made up of “cables” (or axons) that connect other brain regions. This suggests the possibility that coïtusual attraction to children versus adults is not caused by some difference in any one region of the brain, but in the way that multiple regions work together. Neuroscientists refer to this as a partial “disconnection syndrome.”
