OK, so if you want to reach supra-physiological doses of T3, then taking it directly is the better option due to the body's limited conversion from T4 to T3. But in the case of an HGH user outside of contest prep, the goal is simply to bring back their T3 to normal levels. And for that purpose, T4 is just as good as taking T3.
I checked out one source and the price of T4 per mcg is 4 times lower than that of T3. So even though you need roughly 4 times the amount with T4, it costs the same. So no drawback there either.

The advantage of T4 on the other hand is that you cannot overdose as easily. Plus the (potential) benefit with respect to HGH effectiveness.

The other downside is that you have no clue what amount converts to T3...
If you want normal levels, just stop taking T3 and your thyroid will recover in about 2 weeks. I literally see no advantage to taking T4.

We examined the effects of T3 and T4 on basal and FSH-induced aromatase activity in granulosa cells isolated from medium-sized follicles (4-6 mm) of prepubertal pigs. Treatment of cells with T3 or T4 alone during an initial 48-h induction period did not result in any significant change in aromatase activity, as measured by 17 beta-estradiol accumulation during the subsequent 6-h test period, when testosterone (0.5 microM) was added as substrate. However, when cells were cultured with FSH and T3 or T4 during the induction period, a definite dose-dependent inhibition of FSH-induced aromatase activity was demonstrated. This inhibition was not altered by the presence of a binding protein (BSA). The inhibition of FSH-induced aromatase activity by T4 and T3 is a true biological effect, as inactive iodocompounds (MIT and DIT) and iodide had no significant effect on the gonadotropin-induced aromatase activity. Furthermore, the viability of cells was unaffected by the thyroid hormones, and total cellular protein did not change significantly. These results indicate that thyroid hormones might play an important role in modulating FSH-induced aromatase activity, and that the elevated plasma estrogen levels in some cases of hyperthyroidism are not due to increased ovarian secretion.
Inhibition of follicle-stimulating hormone induction of aromatase activity in porcine granulosa cells by thyroxine and triiodothyronine. - PubMed - NCBI

My take from that is that T3 only inhibits aromatase activity that is FSH-induced. So for a bodybuilder that is completely shut down it shouldn't make a difference. Unless you take HCG, in which case the HCG-induced estradiol production could be decreased by T3.

Another possibility is that your body fat (whether because of the T3 or not) is lower than before. Given that fat tissue is fairly high in aromatase, that could explain it, too.

So it stops test from being aromatased? (Or any other that does so)

Yes, but I think only in the testicles and if they are stimulated by FSH or HCG. Are you taking HCG at the moment?

Nope not taking any HCG at the moment. Running test e, sust and tren atm, balls are about 40%. But i've always had gyno from test so its weird that my gyno starts to dissapear for no reason.

No idea what the reason is for the disappearing gyno then. Maybe the strong androgenicity of the Tren helped, though you probably ran that before, too.

Have you changed your food/supplements in any way? Lot's of natural compounds have an impact on aromatase activity or estrogen metabolism more generally: Kurkuma, VitD3, celery, Broccoli, parsley, zinc, melatonine,.......

And even if your gear is legit, there may still be fluctuations in the dosages from batch to batch. Most UG labs don't test their raws.

Also didn't change the food and supplements i take. I guess the batch may just be different.
