Nieuw record voor Ferrari, voor een bedrag van €32,075,000 werd de Ferrari 1957 335 S verkocht waardoor het de tweede duurste auto ooit werd op een openbare veiling.

In de top 10 van 'most valuable cars in the world' staan er nu 9 van Ferrari. Op nummer 1 staat al tijden de Ferrari 250 GTO voor $38,115,000.

Dit soort 'limited editions' zijn toch een beetje sneu. Er is namelijk niets exclusief aan, op het 1/100 embleem na. :o

Jesse Solorio of Crevier BMW brings us a video of the 2016 BMW M6 Competition Edition. Last year, BMW of North America announced a limited edition of the M6 Coupe available to only 100 customers.

BMW will offer the sporty coupe in Austin Yellow or Alpine White and will feature the competition package unveiled last year with 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.

Inside, the BMW Individual Black Leather Merino with contrast stitching is paired with carbon fiber trim. An M Performance Steering Wheel is also part of the package.

The body kit gets a black chrome kidney grille, side gills and door handles, along with special M6 Competition badges. 20 inch M Double-Spoke Wheels in black give the car a sportier look than the standard model, while an M Performance Exhaust system offers an enhanced sound.

Optional GT stripes are also offered for those looking for an even more special look.

The price of a fully configured 2016 BMW M6 Competition Edition is around $170,000.

Normaal ben je er wel goedkoper vanaf, dan als je hem zelf zo zou aanpassen achteraf.

Het is iets meer dan een 1/100 embleem maar ze hadden er wel wat gewicht vanaf mogen halen.
An extra 25 horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque are added to already potent M6 thanks to the Competition Package, bringing total output to 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. That power is also more accessible, with peak torque available from the 4.4-liter V8 from between 1,500 and 6,000 RPMs.

Sprinting from 0 to 60 mph will take the M6 Coupe and Grand Coupe 3.8 seconds with the Competition Package, while the convertible model will take 3.9 seconds to hit that benchmark. Top speed is limited at 155 mph, though you can get it to 189 mph by adding the M Driver’s Package.

Firmer suspension is also a part of the package thanks to new springs, dampers and anti-roll bars. Even the existing handling systems are tweaked for better performance, those being the Active M differential, Servotronic speed-sensitive steering and electronic stability control.

To make sure the M6 Competition Package stands out from the crowd, it wears 20-inch light alloy wheels and gets a sports exhaust with black chrome finish, carbon fiber accents and your choice of two paint finishes: Austin Yellow or Alpine White.

De normale M6 heeft 560pk, de 2013 package 575 en de 2016 versie dus 600pk. Voor een meerprijs van plusminus €6k geloof ik (2013 prijs).

Wat ik ervan begrijp is dat deze speciale editie een M6 + Competition Package + M Performance onderdelen is.

Het CP is normaal 40 pk & 20 nm extra, ben nu ook even in de war waar die 25 pk vandaan komt.

Ik denk dat in die tekst die 25pk tellen vanaf de vorige Comp. Package uit 2013 die 575pk had. Eigenlijk heeft de 2016 package +40 pk. Zoals je zelf ook stelt.
