Clarence Anglin (in 1958), a bank robber who was jailed in the 1950s and sent to Alcatraz prison. In June 1962, he and two other men - including his brother - escaped from the island jail and were never heard from again. Colouriser Matt Loughfrey explained: 'I initially got the idea for this project after working with Kenneth Widner, the nephew of Clarence and John Anglin who both famously escaped from Alcatraz. I think where modern day criminality is concerned, it's Clarence Anglin's portrait mugshot that is the most storyful'

In West Mesa, the remains of 11 women were found in the desert. While the bodies were discovered in 2009, many of the victims had been missing 5 years. Nobody was ever arrested, but there were multiple suspects, two of which died before 2009.


Lorenzo Montoya, a man named as a possible suspect in the West Mesa case, made several homemade sex tapes. In one, after a period of time, the tape goes dark. A few minutes later it shows his bedroom and includes what sounds like tape being unrolled. Montoya allegedly killed a woman by strangling her with duct tape in 2006.

De moorden zijn (zo goed als zeker) gestopt sinds Montoya is doodgeschoten. Best unheimisch hoeveel doden men zou kunnen vermijden als prostitutie er legaal was.
