Vic Richards was a mystery; a man who was the very biggest BB'r of his day who never competed as a pro.
Even today, his mass would be considered extreme and the pinacle of muscular size. His mass was close to the equivalent of a Ronnie Coleman with even better aesthetics. The man was shorter than Coleman and he weighed about the same as him in the off-season...with comparable conditioning.
His waist was miniscule when compared to his gargantuan body; something that is a rare occurence is this day. In fact, he may have had the smallest waist of any BBr waying over 300 lb's in decent shape.
His legs were enormous and so were his arms; few exceeded his in measurement . His massive, hanging, baloon like pecs were up there with the Haney, Coleman, and Arnold.
His shape, structure and lines were 1 in a million.
He didn't like dieting and he said he had no pasion for BB'ing competition.
He ate 10,000+ calories a day, according to him.
The man was also incredibly strong; stronger than any BB'r of his time and as strong as the strongest today. Some of his lifts were up there with Coleman's, some were lower and some were better.
He competed only as an ametuer at a young age and never stepped onstage again.
Joe Weider tried time and time again to get the man to compete, but he always declined.
We never saw him anywhere close to the condition that BB'rs display today, so we can only imagine what he would have looked like had he been an IFBB competitor today.
The man literally has ZERO weaknesses, except for his back (which would have needed to come up, although it was by ni means small). Every bodypart was massive and fully developed.
Were Victor Richards to compete today with the exact same physique he had then, he would be winning pro shows right out of the gate if he improved his back a little bit and challenging for the O' title within a short period of time if he was able to bring up that back.
Of course this is assuming he had comparable conditioning to the pro's today, and I see no reason why he could not have done so. He was able to get pretty lean without putting forth much effort at all.
If he were to bring up just a few areas very slightly, he would be challenging for the top 3, and possibly 1st place, at the Mr. O' title.
Victor Richards was a freak of freaks. He did NOT have available to him all the drugs we do today and his dosages, although I can't say for certain, were most certainly lower than what the pros today use.
If he were to up his overall dosage of AAS, add in more recent and readily available AAS, implement slin for 4 week blast cycles so his waist stayed small, use IGF-1 periodically, and use GH....I have no doubt he would have easily been able to bring up any lagging areas and add at least 15 more pounds of lean body mass to his already enormous physique.
Throw in all the fat loss drugs we now have available and he would have had a much easoer time getting in condition.
On top of that, throw in all the new supplementation we have available and he would have made even more progress.
Rememeber creatine? Well, it wasn't around back then and using creatine for the first time on a man his size would have added at least 8 more solid lb's of muscular bodyweight...and that is being conservative when you weight 300+ lb's!
In addition to everything already mentioned, the advances we've made in training and nutrition would have propelled him to even greater development.
When you accurately asess Vic's physique and what he actually built under the circumstances back in the 80's, it becomes apparent that this man was an absolute freak, far beyond anything we even have on the stage today.
If Vic were to bring his physique to this day and implement everything talked about above, he would've had the potential to add anywhere between 20-30 additional lb's of muscle mass! Holy shit! Think about that.
He was already around 310-315 lb's. Could anyone imagine him at 330-345 lb's at his height and level of condition, along with all that shape

??
I can't and that's why Vic richards is possibily the biggest freak to ever walk out on a BB'ing stage. Remember, Ronnie, being taller, was never really more than about 325 lb's in the off-season (at his very biggest) and he had ALL of these things at his disposal that Vic didn't have.
Just the addition of simple creatine would automatically put Big vic at 320-325 lb's, even with NOTHING else being added
