Goede acteerprestaties, mooie decors... Not bad at all.

Zie jij een Griselda Blanco in Jennifer Lopez, Stephen Graham? :o
Cocaine Cowboys: Reloaded (2014)

In the 1980s, ruthless Colombian cocaine barons invaded Miami with a brand of violence unseen in this country since Prohibition-era Chicago. Cocaine Cowboys is the true story of how Miami became the drug, murder and cash capital of the United States. But it isn't the whole story - Pulling from hundreds of hours of additional interviews and recently uncovered archival news footage, Cocaine Cowboys has been RELOADED: packed with footage and stories that have never been told about Griselda Blanco, the Medellín Cartel, and Miami's Cocaine Wars, with firsthand accounts by hit man Jorge 'Rivi' Ayala, cocaine trafficker Jon Roberts, smuggler Mickey Munday, and others. Cocaine Cowboys: Reloaded recreates Miami's Cocaine Wars like you've never experienced it.

'k Vind het toch best zonde. Terence Winter is doorgaans een prima schrijver.

In December 2005 Lillo Brancato was arrested and hospitalized after he and a friend, Steven Armento, were shot by off-duty New York City police officer Daniel Enchautegui when the officer caught them committing a burglary. Amento was armed and fired at the officer, who died of his wounds. He was sentenced to life in prison for murder. Lillo Brancato, who was not armed at the time, was also shot by the officer and left in critical condition. He was convicted of attempted burglary and sentenced to ten years in prison.

The story, written by Chazz Palminteri, is adapted from his autobiographical one-man play. His real name is Calogero Lorenzo Palminteri. Several studios approached him to purchase the film rights, with at least one offering one million dollars, but Palminteri refused to sell to them unless he could write the screenplay, and play the role of Sonny. None of the studios agreed as they wanted to hire another actor. Then Robert De Niro offered to go into a 50/50 partnership, with all of Palminteri's conditions met, as long as De Niro could direct and play Lorenzo. Palminteri agreed, and their contract was sealed on a handshake.

His downfall started when he beat up those brokers who wouldn’t push webistics

Artikel over Raging Bull.

Met de rug naar de ring
Een reusachtig nieuw boek over de totstandkoming van boksfilm Raging Bull (1980) lost interessante kwesties op. Zoals: al dat bloed, hoe deden ze dat?
