Storyline
Based on a true story about a man named Christopher Gardner. Gardner has invested heavily in a device known as a "Bone Density scanner". He feels like he has made these devices. However, they do not sell as they are marginally better than the current technology at a much higher price. As Gardner tries to figure out how to sell them, his wife leaves him, he loses his house, his bank account, and credit cards. Forced to live out in the streets with his son, Gardner is now desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices.

Valt niet echt veel over te zeggen eigenlijk. Acteerwerk was goed & voor de rest een erg vermakelijke film.

Storyline
When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.
Review
Hoewel vele dit een "meesterwerk" vinden/vonden, vind ik t nogal meevallen. Tuurlijk de graphics zijn zogezegd schitterend, maar 't acteerwerk laat nog al is wat te wensen over. Maargoed dat is wel vaker 't geval met Actie films.

Storyline

Review
Fantastische film.
Is een film met veel emotie tussen de broers & vader. Heb tijdens de film ook af en toe kippenvel gekregen. Acteerwerk was erg goed, vooral van Nick Nolte aka Paddy Conlon.

Storyline
Derek Vineyard is paroled after serving 3 years in prison for killing two thugs who tried to break into/steal his truck. Through his brother, Danny Vineyard's narration, we learn that before going to prison, Derek was a skinhead and the leader of a violent white supremacist gang that committed acts of racial crime throughout L.A. and his actions greatly influenced Danny. Reformed and fresh out of prison, Derek severs contact with the gang and becomes determined to keep Danny from going down the same violent path as he did.
Review
Schitterende film die laat zien dat de dingen waarin je gelooft niet altijd datgeen is waarvan je dacht dat 't was. In dit geval dat 't niet zo is dat alle zwarten criminelen zijn & dat 't daarbij behorende geweld van de blanken gerechtvaardigd is. En vooral 't einde was intens.
